Actual Music are delighted to introduce our new production facility & mix room dubbed ‘Studio Two’. This is an unabashed fully-digital set up featuring latest-gen UA Apollo conversion, industry-leading ATC monitoring and a huge palette of virtual instruments and plug-ins.

If you do any level of music recording, whether it be a laptop-and-mic home setup or you’re a regular visitor to an SSL-equipped multi-room complex like The Grand, you’re probably familiar with a disorder known as Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

It is easy to be confused as a vocalist choosing a microphone – there are a myriad of options and often no straightforward answers! As you might have expected, there is no clear answer to the question ‘which is the best vocal recording mic?’. The answer lies in which works best for you – your vocal style and the style of the track.
