Actual Music is delighted to announce a live music and performance programme in Blackburn Town Centre between September 2024 and March 2025, featuring a total of 124 live performances across town centre bar & restaurant venues.
The project, supported by Arts Council England and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, through the Government’s pilot King William Street Accelerator Programme, seeks to provide performance opportunities for musicians, developing audience engagement in the arts and stimulate nighttime economic activity in Blackburn. Our vision is to promote community cohesion & cultural understanding – and a creative, vibrant, musical town centre.
All performers will be paid and will have the opportunity to sell merchandise after their performances. Performers will also receive coaching in live sound, recording / streaming & promotion; and be invited to join our network in Lancashire.
We encourage performers across all genres and styles to apply – and encourage applications regardless of age group, ethnic or religious background, sexual orientation or disability status.
The deadline for applications is Friday 6th September 2024. Please note we cannot give feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
